Thanks to the energy and persistence of neighbors, friends, and supporters like you, AEP is now reconsidering its current North Columbus Transmission Line Project.
Last Friday, impacted homeowners heard directly from AEP after our concerns reached their CEO: they are “looking at alternatives [to the North Columbus Transmission Line Rebuild Project] to help resolve and minimize concerns from the community.”
This breakthrough happened because of your support:
📺 Sharing our story: Hundreds of you watched and shared our 10TV feature, building critical momentum and ensuring our concerns were heard.
🖋️ 700+ signatures: The online petition has collected over 750 petition signatures from residents and supporters.
🏠 Standing with us: Neighbors and friends have offered strategies, connections, and encouragement every step of the way.
What’s next:
We’re not stopping here. Our next step is to work with Ohio leaders, State Senator Beth Liston and Representative Anita Somani, who have offered their support and want to hear directly from us how projects like AEP’s can harm Columbus neighborhoods and families. Together, we’ll work to ensure that any alternative AEP proposes is fair, responsible, and protects homeowners, families, and communities.

This progress proves what is possible when communities unite. Your support hasn’t just made a difference for Worthington Hills; it’s setting an example for other neighborhoods facing similar challenges as so many of us feel the strain of Columbus’ growth.
Together, we’re showing how important it is for people to organize and speak up. By standing up now, you’re sending a clear message that communities everywhere deserve a voice.
Together, we’ll keep moving forward.
